Alexandra Madarang Ilacad, born on February 26, 2000, in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, began her career in entertainment at the age of two, featuring in television commercials for various brands including Vaseline, Johnson’s Baby, Smart, Cheez Whiz, McDonald’s, and Jollibee. Her early career development included joining the children’s comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit” in 2008, where she gained recognition. She also took on minor acting roles in series such as “May Bukas Pa” (2009) and “Nasaan Ka, Elisa?” (2011), along with appearances in “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” In 2012, Ilacad expanded her musical endeavors by joining the group Tweens Of Pop, releasing a self-titled EP under Star Music.
Ilacad’s career progressed significantly in 2013 when she joined “Luv U” as Lexie Domingo, marking the beginning of her popular love team with Nash Aguas, known as “NLex.” This partnership led to multiple projects, including episodes of “MMK” and “Wansapanataym.” She also played the young Maria Mercedes in the eponymous series (2013) and a lead role in the television series “Bagito” (2014). In 2016, she made her film debut in “Everything About Her” and participated in the reality music competition “We Love OPM: The Celebrity Sing-Offs.” That same year, she launched her debut solo album, “To The Moon & Back,” under Star Music, with songs penned by Eunice Jorge of Gracenote.
After the conclusion of her love team with Nash Aguas in 2018, Ilacad focused on her solo career, taking on diverse roles such as Luna Dela Cuesta in “The Killer Bride” (2019) and Hasmin in the horror film “Santigwar” (2019). She portrayed Bobbie Salazar in the film “Four Sisters Before the Wedding” (2020), a prequel to a popular 2013 movie.
