Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann is a widely renowned French professional footballer who is best known for playing as a forward for the Spanish club Barcelona, as well as the French international team. Griezmann caught the eye of many at a young age, owing to his skill and obvious potential, and was signed to Atletico Madrid for 30 million euros. Such a fee was record of its time and Griezmann quickly progressed and became a focal point of the team. He broke the club’s scoring record for a first season and was named La Liga Best Player in 2016.

With Atletico Madrid, Griezmann helped the team to win the 2017-18 Europa League when he scored twice during the final. Griezmann now ranks as the club’s fifth highest goal-scorer. In 2019, Griezmann was transferred to Barcelona in a 120 million euro deal, becoming the fourth most expensive football player of all-time.

As a French international player, Griezmann started playing for France at a young age in the U19, U20 and U21 teams.

He made his debut for the senior team in 2014, the same year that he also played in the World Cup for France for the first time. Throughout his career with France, he has won the Bronze Ball, the Silver Boot, was top goal-scorer at the UEFA Euro 2016 and Player of the Tournament and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, scoring four goals in the duration.
