Kayshon Boutte was born on May 7, 2002, in New Iberia, Louisiana. He attended Westgate High School, where he achieved significant success in football. As a senior, he recorded 47 receptions for 1,005 yards and 15 touchdowns, along with 874 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Boutte was recognized as a five-star recruit and ranked as the nation’s second-best wide receiver. He participated in the 2020 Under Armour All-American Game before committing to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football.

Boutte quickly made an impact at LSU. In his true freshman season in 2020, he became one of the team’s top receivers, especially after Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall Jr. opted out. A notable achievement occurred in a 2020 game against Ole Miss, where he set a Southeastern Conference (SEC) record with 14 receptions for 308 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His college career at LSU spanned from 2020 to 2022.

His professional career began when he was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round, 187th overall, of the 2023 NFL draft. Boutte made his NFL debut in the Patriots’ regular season opener. In his rookie season, he appeared in five games and recorded two receptions for 19 yards. In the 2024 season, he changed his jersey number to 9. He scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 6 of the 2024 season against the Houston Texans on a 40-yard pass. He concluded the 2024 season with 43 receptions for 589 yards and three touchdowns. All gambling charges against Boutte were dropped on July 16, 2024.
