Anton Glasnović was born on January 18, 1981, in Zagreb, Croatia. He began practicing shooting in 1998 and started competing professionally in 1999. Early in his career, he showed promise, securing a silver medal in Double Trap Men Junior and a bronze medal in Trap Men Junior at the World Championships in Cairo in 2001. Glasnović’s dedication led him to join the Croatian Armed Forces, and he competes for Shooter – Zagreb.
Glasnović’s career highlights include reaching the trap final at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he finished in 6th place. He has accumulated a significant medal count across various international competitions, including 2 World Championships medals, 10 World Cup medals, 4 European Championships medals, and 1 European Games medal. His consistency and skill have been demonstrated through multiple first-place finishes in World Cup events, such as Trap Men in Larnaca (2023) and Trap Team Men in Rabat (2023) and Lonato (2022). He also secured a gold medal in Double Trap Men at the European Championships in Osijek in 2021.
Further milestones include winning a gold medal in team trap at the 2012 European Shotgun Championships in Larnaca with his brother Josip Glasnović and Giovanni Cernogoraz. In 2013, he earned an individual silver medal at the World Shotgun Championships in Lima and a team bronze medal alongside Giovanni Cernogoraz and Saša Sedmak. Glasnović continues to compete at a high level, featuring in numerous World Cup and European Championship events.
