Art Simone

Jack Daye, known as Art Simone, was born on September 9, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia. She established herself in the Australian drag scene, earning titles such as “Drag Performer of the Year,” “Queen of Australia,” and “Melbourne’s Favourite Drag Queen.” Her early career included an appearance as a Nightclub Drag Artist in the 2014 film “Cut Snake” and as Venus in “What If It Works?” in 2017. She has also appeared on and in multiple commercials prior to her international recognition.

Art Simone gained wider international recognition as a contestant and runner-up on the inaugural season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under” in 2021. Her self-produced WOW Presents Plus series, “Highway to Heel,” which premiered in 2020, showcased her writing talents and unique drag aesthetic. Following her success on Drag Race, she expanded her media presence, guesting on Australian television programs such as “Have You Been Paying Attention,” “Would I Lie to You?,” “The Cook Up with Adam Liaw,” and “Spicks and Specks.” In 2023, she made her television acting debut as Patty in the Logie and AACTA nominated series “In Our Blood,” appearing in four episodes.

Demonstrating career versatility, Art Simone launched the podcast “Concealed with Art Simone” with iHeart, which has received multiple ACRA and Australian Podcast Awards nominations. She has also authored two books, “Life is Art” and “Drag Queens Down Under,” both published in 2024. Beyond her individual achievements, Art Simone is committed to promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion, particularly in regional Australia, by creating safe spaces and participating in diversity and inclusion panels. Her work focuses on pushing for greater acceptance and visibility for the queer community.
