A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Beau Hightower began his academic and athletic career at the University of New Mexico, earning his first Bachelor of Science degree in Biology while playing as a linebacker for the Lobos football team. He continued his education, obtaining Bachelor of Science degrees in Anatomy and Health and Wellness. Dr. Hightower then pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University, graduating with honors. During his Sports Medicine Internship, he worked with Olympic athletes at the Coldeportes training facility in Bogota, Colombia. His commitment to expanding his expertise led him to earn a second Doctorate degree, a Doctor of Naprapathic Medicine, with Summa Cum Laude honors from Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine.
Dr. Hightower furthered his academic achievements by earning a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences from California University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He holds several advanced certifications, including Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His clinical practice focuses on musculoskeletal diagnosis and management, applying his knowledge in connective tissue and fascia therapy. He is currently pursuing an MD degree and has consistently achieved Dean’s List recognition in medical school. Dr. Hightower is an instructor at Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine, where he teaches doctoral students in Clinical Biomechanics, Radiological Report Interpretation, Therapeutic Exercise, and Sports Medicine. He also serves on the advisory board at SUNM, where he was appointed in January 2021.
In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Hightower is the President of Elite Ortho-Therapy and Sports Medicine LLC, a clinic he founded in November 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He serves as the head clinician for JacksonWink MMA, providing specialized care to athletes. In October 2024, he was appointed to a three-year term on the Naprapathic Advisory Board by Governor Joe Lombardo of Nevada, recognizing his contributions to the field. Earlier in his career, from October 2012 to January 2015, he contributed as a columnist and author for Knuxx, providing articles on musculoskeletal injuries and their relevance to combat sports.
