Benjamin Toniutti is a respected French professional volleyball player who is a valued member of the French men’s national volleyball team. A veteran of the sport, Toniutti won gold with his nation at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. He is also the 2015 European Champion, a two-time FIVB World League winner in 2015 and 2017, and the 2021 CEV Champions League winner. In 2021, in recognition of his sporting prowess, he was issued with the highest French order of merit, a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
Toniutti commenced his stellar professional career playing for the top-flight French club Arago de Sète from 2009 to 2013, where he had the opportunity to hone his skills. In 2013 he was named Most Valuable Player and Best Setter at the 2013 French Championship. After playing for a year in Italy at CMC Ravenna in 2013 and a year in Russia at Zenit Kazan in 2014. Tonutti joined the Polish club ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in 2015. What followed was an incredible career full of victories including Polish Cups in 2016, 2018 and 2020, Polish SuperCups in 2019 and 2020 and Polish Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Over this time he also won a long list of individual awards including Best Setter at the 2017 Polish Cup as well as the 2017 FIVB World League and 2018 FIVB Nations League. In 2021, he moved to Polish club Jastrzębski Węgiel, with whom he won the Polish SuperCups in both 2021 and 2022.
