Blair White

Blair White was born on February 20, 1987, in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Nouvel Catholic Central High School, where he achieved significant success in various sports, including 63 receptions for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns in football during his senior year. He also played basketball and baseball, demonstrating his athletic versatility from an early age.

White continued his football career at Michigan State University as a walk-on in 2005. Despite limited playing time in his initial years, he emerged as a key player. As a junior, he started five of 13 games, leading the team with 43 receptions for 659 yards and one touchdown, earning a second-team All-Big Ten selection by Phil Steele. His senior year was even more productive, with 70 receptions for 990 yards and nine touchdowns across all 13 starts. This performance led to his recognition as first-team All-Big Ten by coaches and second-team by media. Academically, White excelled, earning First-team Academic All-America honors and Academic All-Big Ten Honors throughout his four years at Michigan State, highlighting his commitment to both athletics and his studies.

In 2010, White signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. After starting on the practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster on September 26, 2010, after an injury to Pierre Garçon. He made an immediate impact, scoring his first NFL touchdown in his debut game against the Denver Broncos with a pass from Peyton Manning. He concluded the 2010 season with 36 receptions for 355 yards and five touchdowns. His 2011 season was curtailed by back injuries, allowing him to play in only 7 games with no receptions, although he returned 7 punts for 22 yards. Following this, he was waived by the Colts on April 13, 2012. At the age of 25, White decided to retire from the NFL, having undergone three back surgeries. He subsequently enrolled in dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy, a career path he had considered prior to his football career.
