Brett Brown is a distinguished American professional basketball coach currently serving as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. His coaching journey began in Australia, where he made a significant impact as the head coach of the North Melbourne Giants, leading them to an NBL championship in 1994 and earning the NBL Coach of the Year award. Brown’s success in Australia laid the groundwork for his return to the NBA, where he joined the Spurs as a player development coach in 2002, contributing to the team’s success during their championship runs in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

In 2013, Brown was appointed head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, taking on the challenge of leading a team in a complete rebuild.
