Bubba Ganter’s entertainment career commenced in 1989, beginning in personal protection where he was enlisted by mentor Earl Gabbidon to safeguard Country/Western singer Dolly Parton during her Arizona concerts. He then toured with pop duo Milli Vanilli, served as personal bodyguard for Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block from 1989 to 1994, and transitioned to Knight’s Tour Manager until 2005, concurrently managing tours for Reggae group Morgan Heritage. Ganter’s screen debut was in New Kids On The Block’s ‘Step by Step’ music video, followed by three more music videos and appearances in their 1990 Pay Per View special ‘No More Games Live’ and the 1991 Disney MGM Studio’s NFL Super Bowl Special ‘NKOTB Wildest Dreams’ on NBC. In 1995, Ganter made his film debut as a bodyguard in ‘A Texas Payback,’ igniting his passion for acting.
Additional acting appearances include James in ‘The Family Business’ (2018), a Security Guard in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ (2019), a Heavy Set Man in ‘Dolemite Is My Name’ (2019), and ’10 Eyes’ (2022). In 2017, he also served as Assistant Editor on ‘Beauty and the Baller.’ Further diversifying his portfolio, Ganter has also made significant strides in directing.
