Carli Lloyd

Carli Lloyd, born in 1989, is a renowned American professional volleyball player celebrated for her exceptional skills as a setter. Hailing from the University of California, Berkeley, Lloyd showcased her prowess in collegiate women’s volleyball before making a significant impact on the international stage.

A key figure in the United States women’s national volleyball team, Lloyd achieved Olympic success by clinching a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Games. Her journey in professional volleyball extended beyond borders, as she contributed significantly to the Italian club Yamamay Busto Arsizio from 2011/12 to the 2012/13 season. During the 2011/12 season, Lloyd played a pivotal role in securing the League, Cup, Supercup, and the prestigious CEV Cup.

Transitioning to the Italian club Pomì Casalmaggiore, Lloyd continued her winning streak, claiming both the Italian League title and the 2015-2016 Champions League. Her individual excellence was recognized with the Best Setter award, adding to her growing list of accolades. Lloyd’s international achievements further include triumphs at the 2015 Pan-American Cup and the 2015 Pan American Games, where she not only secured the gold medals but also earned the titles of Most Valuable Player and Best Setter.
