Cha Eun-woo achieved widespread recognition with his first leading television role in the JTBC romantic comedy series My ID Is Gangnam Beauty in 2018, leading to his inclusion in GQ Korea’s ‘Men of the Year.’ Prior to this breakthrough, Eun-woo officially debuted as a member of the K-Pop boy band Astro on February 23, 2016, with their EP Spring Up. He made his acting debut in the film My Brilliant Life in 2014 and was selected as a model for Korean cosmetics brand Shara Shara the same year. His early career included the web mini-series To Be Continued (2015). Concurrently, he expanded his acting portfolio with roles in television shows such as SBS’s Law of the Jungle in New Caledonia (2016) and KBS2’s Hit the Top (2017), and hosted MBC Gayo Daejejeon from 2017 to 2019.
In 2024, he confirmed his participation in the television series Wonderful World and was featured on Lee Seung Gi’s 20th debut anniversary album With. That same year, he was cast in the Netflix superpower comedy series The Wonderfools. In 2024, Cha Eun-woo debuted as a solo artist with the extended play Entity and embarked on his first solo fan concert tour, ‘Mystery Elevator.’ Looking to 2025, he is set to debut as a lead in the film The First Ride and made a special appearance in IU’s music video, ‘A Beautiful Person.’ He also released his first VR concert, ‘CHA EUN-WOO VR CONCERT: MEMORIES.’ Eun-woo is leading the organization of a tribute song for Moonbin in 2025. He will commence his mandatory military service in the Republic of Korea Army Band in July 2025.
