Christian Chivu

Christian Chivu, a UEFA Champions League winner and multi-domestic title holder, embarked on a distinguished football career across top European clubs before transitioning to a respected coaching and punditry role. His professional journey began with a significant early success, securing the Divizia B title with CSM Re?i?a in the 1996–97 season. After a period with Universitatea Craiova, Chivu joined Dutch club Ajax in 1999, quickly establishing himself as a proficient defender and captain. During his tenure, he led Ajax to the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup victories in the 2001–02 season, also clinching the Johan Cruyff Shield in 2002.

His dedicated work with the academy culminated in taking charge of the Inter Milan U19 team from 2021 to 2024, where he notably guided them to win the prestigious Campionato Primavera 1 title in the 2021–22 season, showcasing his coaching acumen and ability to develop young talent. In February 2025, Chivu was appointed head coach of Parma in Serie A, a significant step in his senior coaching career. This was swiftly followed by the announcement in June 2025 that he would return to Inter Milan, this time as the head coach of the senior team, underscoring his rapid ascent in the coaching ranks and the club’s confidence in his leadership. Beyond his club commitments, Chivu has also established himself as a respected football pundit for Italian television and serves as a technical observer for UEFA, leveraging his deep understanding of the game to provide expert analysis.
