Christina Tosi has redefined American dessert culture, transitioning from a culinary school graduate to the founder of the innovative Milk Bar and a celebrated media personality. After developing the innovative pastry program for David Chang’s Momofuku group, Christina Tosi founded Milk Bar in 2008, swiftly redefining American dessert culture. Having initially joined Momofuku in 2005, Tosi was tasked with creating its pastry division, where she developed iconic, nostalgic creations such as Cereal Milk panna cotta. As Chef and Chief Executive Officer, she launched Milk Bar with a unique approach, blending pastry chef techniques with comfort-food-inspired desserts, quickly gaining recognition for signature items like Cereal Milk, Compost Cookies, and Milk Bar Pie.
She joined the judging panel for Fox’s popular series ‘MasterChef’ and ‘MasterChef Junior’ in 2015, becoming a household name. Her expertise was further showcased in Netflix’s ‘Chef’s Table: Pastry’ (2018) and ‘Bake Squad.’ Tosi continued to share her unique recipes and culinary philosophy through additional cookbooks, including All About Cake (2018), Milk Bar: Kids Only (2020), Every Cake Has a Story (2021), Dessert Can Save The World (2022), and All About Cookies (2022).
