The distinguished Christopher Randolph is an actor, director, and writer, best known as the voice of Hal “Otacon” Emmerich and his morally questionable father Huey, in the Metal Gear Solid series of video games. He became the longest serving English voice actor in the franchise, having a role in all but one main MGS series game since 1998.
Born and raised in Boston, Randolph became interested in acting during his school years. After attending Boston University to study English Literature, he went to the University of California San Diego where he earned an MFA on their Professional Actor Training Program. He made his acting debut in 1993 when he appeared in an episode of Doogie Howser M.D., and since then he has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Will & Grace, Mad About You, American Masters, and NewsRadio. He has also appeared in several soap operas, including Days of Our Loves, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light. His impressive stage career has seen him work under award winning directors such as Sir Jonathan Miller, and alongside such fellow actors as Christopher Plummer, F. Murray Abraham, and Jessica Chastain.
Randolph regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life both on and off the screen and in and out of the dubbing studio. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform, and has an official website, christopherrandolph.com.
