Tyler Carter

Tyler Carter is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer recognized for his work across R&B, electro-pop, soul, pop, post-hardcore, and metalcore genres. He was a founding member and lead vocalist of the metalcore band Issues. After signing to Rise Records with Woe, Is Me in 2009, Tyler Carter went on to release the studio album ‘Number[s]’ in 2010 before co-founding the highly successful metalcore band Issues in 2012. As the lead vocalist, Carter immediately contributed to the band’s debut EP, ‘Black Diamonds’ (2012), followed by the single ‘Hooligans’ (2013).

Throughout this time, Carter collaborated with a diverse array of artists including blackbear, MAX, Jamie’s Elsewhere, Breathe Carolina, Hands Like Houses, Slaves, and One Ok Rock, further demonstrating his versatility. In 2019, Carter released his critically acclaimed solo album ‘Moonshine,’ followed by Issues’ third studio album, ‘Beautiful Oblivion,’ later that year. Following his departure from Issues in September 2020, Carter swiftly transitioned to new artistic ventures, solidifying his path as an independent artist after ending his solo recording contract with Rise Records. The same year, he co-founded the dynamic duo Emerald Royce with Attila’s Chris Linck and released his solo EP ‘Moonshine Acoustic,’ further expanding his discography.

As Issues concluded their final shows in 2024, Carter remained at the forefront of new musical endeavors, launching the band The Audacity in 2025. The Audacity quickly released their debut EP, ‘Entry Wounds,’ in 2025, marking the latest chapter in Carter’s prolific career. His ongoing work as an independent artist and with new projects continues to affirm his reputation as a versatile singer, songwriter, and producer across multiple genres.
