Dan LaMorte began his career in stand-up comedy at the age of 19, following a career-ending injury as a college baseball player. Early in his comedy career, he appeared on television programs such as Fox’s Red Eye and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. He released two comedy albums, “Not Enough Pieces” and “Infect Me Once.” Both albums gained popularity on SiriusXM and accumulated over a million streams on Pandora. By the age of 23, Dan LaMorte had established a presence in stand-up comedy, while at the same time his weight had reached 354 pounds.
Following a diagnosis of fatty liver disease, Dan LaMorte initiated a significant health change. Over three years, he lost over 185 pounds and became an ultra-runner, participating in races longer than marathon distance. He also inspired many of his fans to pursue their own health and weight loss journeys. In 2023, he was selected as one of the New Faces at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. In 2024, Dan LaMorte released a special with Don’t Tell Comedy on YouTube and began his first series of international tours.
Dan LaMorte is a regular performer in the New York City comedy scene, appearing at venues such as the Comedy Cellar and The Stand comedy clubs. His work also includes content on Punchup.live, featuring videos like “Woman Admits To Getting Freaky In A Hospital Bed” and “Can Amish People Be Autistic?” He actively tours, with upcoming shows in locations including Pottstown, PA; Chicago, IL; and Albany, NY.
