United States Derek Carr has established himself as a prominent NFL quarterback before announcing his retirement.

Derek Carr and his wife, Heather, became brand ambassadors for Frönen, a frozen dessert company, after Heather reached out to the company via Instagram, leading to a partnership that quickly formed in April.
Derek Carr, born on March 28, 1991, in Fresno, California, began his football journey at Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, before moving to Bakersfield Christian High School. He excelled in high school football, leading his team to a championship and earning recognition as the National Player of the Year by the National Private Schools Athletic Association in 2009. Carr continued his collegiate career at Fresno State, where he followed in the footsteps of his older brother, David Carr, a former NFL first overall draft pick. Derek made a significant impact, leading the Bulldogs to impressive records and earning numerous accolades, including the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2013 for being the nation’s top collegiate passer. His jersey number, 4, was retired by Fresno State as a testament to his contributions, and a mural at the university also honors his legacy.
Carr was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He quickly became the team’s starting quarterback, making history as the first rookie quarterback in Raiders history to start a season opener. Throughout his tenure with the Raiders, he consistently ranked among the league’s top passers, leading the team to playoff appearances in 2016 and 2021. He holds multiple franchise records for the Raiders in passing yards, touchdowns, and completions.
In 2023, Carr joined the New Orleans Saints, where he continued to demonstrate his leadership and passing ability, leading the team through a strong finish to the season. His career concluded in 2025 due to a severe rotator cuff injury, but he leaves behind a distinguished career marked by consistent performance and significant achievements.
