Donna Vivino

Donna Vivino began her professional career at seven years old, demonstrating early talent in the performing arts. A native of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, her Broadway debut came as the Original Young Cosette in “Les Misérables,” where she also contributed to the cast recording. Vivino continued her education, graduating from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for consistent performances in high-profile theatrical productions.

Vivino has a notable history on Broadway, performing in productions such as “Hairspray” as Shelley and an understudy for Tracy Turnblad, “Saturday Night Fever” in the ensemble, and “Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me” as a Comedy All-Star. One of her most significant roles was as Elphaba in “Wicked,” a role she performed on both the First National Tour and as a standby on Broadway from 2011 to 2013. Her theatrical career extends to Off-Broadway and national tours, including a critically acclaimed portrayal of Mary Flynn in “Merrily We Roll Along,” which earned her an LA Ovation Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. In early 2020, she took on the role of Grizabella in the North American tour of “Cats,” a run that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her work beyond the stage includes television and film appearances. Vivino has been seen in recent television series such as “Law & Order” in 2023, where she played Rachel Ford, and “FBI: Most Wanted” in 2024 as Carlotta Tomassi. Her film credits include “My Sassy Girl” (2008), “Everyday People” (2004), and the 2023 feature film “Ezra,” alongside Bobby Cannavale. Additionally, she played Serena Maxwell in the web-series “Submissions Only” for multiple episodes between 2012 and 2014, showcasing her adaptability across different mediums. Vivino is also a co-founder of Journey to Broadway, a youth arts program focused on performing arts education.
