Rising star Millie O’Connell is a British singer, dancer, model and actress who rose to prominence playing Anne Boleyn in SIX the Musical in the West End. O’Connell also played the role on the UK Tour of the show in 2018, and in 2019 she was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical alongside her fellow ‘Queens’ from the hit show. O’Connell has also appeared on television in shows including ITV’s Endeavour, The Entire Universe (BBC) and The Peoples Strictly (BBC).
O’Connel studied tap, modern and ballet at Gillian Cartwright School of Dance before honing her skills further at Laine Theatre Arts college. After making her television debut as a dancer on The People’s Strictly in 2015, O’Connell joined the cast of 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane before touring the UK with Thoroughly Modern Millie. She then earned a lead understudy part in a Paris production of 42nd Street, before returning to London to join the West End cast of SIX as Henry VIII’s ill-fated second wife after receiving a call to audition from the director, Lucy Moss. O’Connell became a huge favourite with fans of the musical, and stayed with the show until the end of 2019.
In 2020 it was announced that O’Connell would play the role of Chloe Valentine in Be More Chill at The Other Palace in London’s Off West End.
