Doyin Richards

In October 2025, Doyin Richards delivered the global keynote address for the United Nations’ World Mental Health Day Event — arguably the most prestigious mental health keynote speech on the planet. It marked the latest milestone for a therapist, best-selling author, and TEDx speaker who has spent more than two decades helping people face hard truths about their minds and their workplaces.

Richards holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California. He founded Relentless Equity (RE), bringing a no-nonsense, high-energy, empathetic approach shaped by 21+ years of learning and development experience — and by his own survival of depression and a near-fatal suicide attempt.

His workshops have reached C-Suite leaders and kindergartners alike, with clients including Cisco, Salesforce, Microsoft, The New York Times, the PGA Tour, and Freddie Mac. Media outlets from NPR, CNN, and the TODAY Show — where he serves on the Parenting Team — to Essence, Cosmopolitan, and USA Today regularly call on his voice. He has also authored four children’s picture books with Feiwel & Friends, an imprint of Macmillan, introducing equity to young readers.

Open about his mental health struggles as a Black man and father, Richards champions healthy masculinity, equity, and honest conversation — reminding audiences, as he puts it, of what’s truly important.
