Dr Reena Wadia is credited with designing 'The Perio School Surgical Kit' for key periodontal surgical procedures, utilizing HuFriedyGroup's high-quality surgical instruments, positioning her as a Key Opinion Leader.
Dr Reena Wadia qualified in 2011 from Barts and The London, receiving the Gold Medal and other undergraduate dental awards. Following her general practice, she served as a Senior House Officer in restorative dentistry and oral surgery. She further specialized by completing a part-time specialty training program in Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital. Dr Wadia has been awarded Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, attained a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent Perio), and earned the Membership in Periodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She also holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
In her career, Dr Wadia established RW Perio, a specialist periodontal referral clinic located on Harley Street, which has expanded into a four-surgery practice. She previously held a position as a specialist associate at King’s College Hospital. Dr Wadia founded Perio School, which functions as a global teaching academy for periodontal courses, providing education to dental students, dentists, and hygienists for over ten years. Her contributions to the dental profession include serving as an adviser to the BDA Indemnity board, membership on the Invisalign Advisory Board, and participation as a trustee of the Oral & Dental Research Trust. Dr Wadia also acts as a reviewer for the CGDent Standards in Dentistry guidance and was a former board member of the FGDP (UK).
Dr Wadia is the author of multiple articles in the Primary Dental Journal, where she also served as a Guest Editor for an issue focusing on periodontics. She is co-editor of ‘Other Journals in Brief’ in the British Dental Journal. Her work has been featured in various publications including Forbes, FT How To Spend It, Financial Times, Vogue, The Times, and BBC. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and was shortlisted in the ‘Bright Young Thing’ category of the Mayfair Times Community Awards. She is also a Global Dental Expert and Entrepreneur, with her upcoming product range ‘By Dr Reena’.
