Ear Hustle has also received the prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, highlighting its role in reshaping perceptions of prison life. With over 85 million downloads, the show has established itself as a powerful voice in the podcasting landscape, earning accolades from various organizations, including the Third Coast International Audio Festival.
In addition to their podcasting success, Nigel and Earlonne have made significant contributions to the academic community, delivering commencement addresses at esteemed institutions such as UC Berkeley and Bennington College. Their work has inspired creative projects, including a dance performance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, showcasing the cultural impact of their storytelling.
