Erin Foster was born on August 23, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, to record producer David Foster and Rebecca Dyer. Her early life included attending boarding school in Switzerland. She began her acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in television series such as ‘Castle,’ ‘The O.C.,’ ‘House,’ ‘American Dreams,’ ‘Gilmore Girls,’ ‘Reno 911!,’ ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,’ ‘Judging Amy,’ and ‘Roswell,’ and films like ‘Cellular’ (2004). Erin later expanded her career into writing and producing. In 2012, she served as a staff writer for the NBC sitcom ‘The New Normal.’
Erin and her sister, Sara Foster, collaborated on several projects. In 2015, they created ‘Barely Famous,’ a mockumentary TV series on VH1 that satirized reality television, running for two seasons until 2016. From 2017 to 2020, the sisters held roles as co-creative heads for the dating app Bumble. In 2021, they launched ‘The World’s First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster,’ further expanding their media presence.
In 2024, Erin Foster created, wrote, and co-produced the Netflix romantic comedy series ‘Nobody Wants This,’ drawing inspiration from her own life experiences.
