Francesca Jones

Francesca Jones, born on September 19, 2000, in Bradford, England, embarked on her tennis journey at a young age. At five, she joined a summer tennis camp in Bradford, and at nine, her dedication led her to move to Spain to train at the prestigious Sanchez Casal Tennis Academy, later moving to Ad-In Tennis Academy in Barcelona. Jones was born with Ectrodactyly Ectodermal Dysplasia (ED) syndrome, a rare genetic condition resulting in her having a thumb and three fingers on each hand, and only seven toes. Despite requiring frequent surgeries, Jones has consistently stated that this condition has never deterred her from pursuing her dreams in professional tennis, embodying resilience and determination throughout her career.
Jones made her Grand Slam debut at the Australian Open in 2021, successfully navigating qualifiers to reach the main draw. This marked a significant turning point, inspiring many with her perseverance. Throughout her career, she has accumulated two WTA 125 titles and eight ITF titles. Her career milestones include achieving her highest singles ranking of world No. 73 on September 15, 2025, a testament to her consistent performance and dedication to the sport.
