Talented German dressage rider Frederic Wandres is one of the world’s best. Currently in the top 10 of the FEI world rankings, he helped the German team to take bronze at the 2022 World Championships. He previously won gold at the 2019 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. He is also a two-time German vice-champion, three-time Bundeschampion, and three-time Nations Cup winner. He began 2023 in amazing form with first-place finishes at a Grand Prix event in Wellington, Florida. He has been a rider at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Osnabrück, since 2007 and was awarded the prestigious Goldene Reitabzeichen (Golden Riding Badge) by the German Equestrian Federation in 2015.
Born in March 1987, Wandres’ career really began to take shape when he joined the historic Hof Kasselmann club. Today, he is one German dressage’s young hopefuls, his already-long list of successes saw him longlisted for the German team at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but given his part in Germany’s bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships and his current brilliant form, he will surely be a part of the team that competes in Paris in 2024.
