The British boxer, motivational speaker and qualified psychotherapist, Glenn Catley is renowned for being a former world champion in the Super Middleweight (168lb) division.
After turning pro in 1993, Catley went on to win an impressive 21 out of 22 fights. He then won the WBC International Middleweight Title against George Bocco followed by the British Middleweight Title against Neville Brown, a fight that went on to be named as one of the best in British history. Following his rise to fame in the Super Middleweight championships, Glenn fought for the title against Richie Woodhall to whom the fight was given to in what is considered to be one of the most controversial fights in professional boxing. However, Catley later went on to claim in the title from Marcus Bayer.
Since his retirement in 2007, Catley has trained as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist to better understand how both contributed to his success as a champion boxer. Having reached the top of his game with both determination and confidence, Catley now explores how anyone can achieve their goals with these methods through the belief in your abilities and how it’s possible to handle the pressure of expectation. An accomplished motivational speaker and consultant, Catley also runs frequent lectures in both performance psychology and hypnotherapy, as well as raising awareness for the treatment and support of work-related stress, anxiety and helping young people get back into work.
