Samuel David Handley, born on June 19, 1997, in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, began performing in drag in 2016, also working as a DJ at various events and parties. His public profile significantly increased in 2019 when he was announced as a contestant on the inaugural series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Although he was the first contestant eliminated, after a lip-sync performance of “New Rules” by Dua Lipa, this appearance marked his entry into mainstream entertainment and established his drag persona, Gothy Kendoll.
Following his debut on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Gothy Kendoll expanded his presence across different media. In 2020, he participated in the MTV reality series Celeb Ex in the City as a cast member. The following year, 2021, marked his entry into the music industry with the release of his debut single, “Switch,” which featured vocals from fellow Drag Race UK contestant Divina de Campo. Beyond traditional entertainment, Gothy Kendoll also established himself as a creator on OnlyFans, often collaborating with other artists to produce adult content.
In 2024, Gothy Kendoll returned to the Drag Race franchise, competing in the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs. the World. In this competition, he placed seventh out of eleven queens, demonstrating his continued evolution as a performer since his initial appearance. Concurrently with his television appearances, he has maintained his career as a DJ and continued to produce music, further solidifying his diverse presence in the entertainment industry.
