Glamorous star Gothy Kendoll rose to fame as a contestant on the first season of hit reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Representing everything that’s fresh and cool about the current UK drag scene, Kendoll’s striking look incorporated darker elements into their drag style with tons of jet black eyeliner and raven-coloured hair. Kendoll is also famous for her work as a DJ and drag host and regularly shares photographs of her stunning outfits through Instagram for her 126,000 followers.
The Leicester-born star – real name Sam Handley – began her career studying fashion at university before making her drag debut on New Year’s Eve in 2016. Three years later she made a splash on TV screens when the very first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK aired on BBC Three iPlayer. After hitting the show with her gothic realness Kendoll was the first queen to shantay away, but she had earned herself a huge new legion of fans.
Viewers showed plenty of support online for Kendoll’s look, and her star turn on the show has led to plenty of new bookings, modelling contracts and gigs she never would have dreamed of before appearing on Drag Race. Just 21 when she appeared on the reality show, Kendoll’s confidence and popularity continue to rise as she establishes herself as one of the UK’s best loved Drag performers.
