Hannah Grace Colin was born on March 29, 2005, in New Albany, Indiana. She began dancing at 18 months old, a natural progression given her mother, Ann Colin, owns the DanceWorks Center. Her early dance training included lyrical, contemporary, and tap styles before she later incorporated hip hop. Beyond dance, Hannah also participated in gymnastics, achieving success as a Level 1 USA Jr. Olympic compulsory gymnast at SIGS Sportsplex. She continued gymnastics until the 7th grade, securing multiple State Floor and Beam wins as a Level 3, 4, and 6 gymnast, before deciding to focus solely on her dance career.
In January 2019, Hannah’s career reached a significant milestone when she was announced as a cast member for the eighth season of the reality television series “Dance Moms.” This opportunity led to her becoming a member of the ALDC Elite Dance Team. Her participation in the show provided a platform that opened doors to various professional experiences, including performing as a backup dancer for JoJo Siwa’s “D.R.E.A.M. the Tour.” This exposure also led to other engagements, such as appearances at movie premieres and New York Fashion Week, expanding her presence beyond competitive dance.
Following her time on “Dance Moms,” Hannah recognized the opportunity to leverage her platform to advocate for positive messages. She became involved with the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization, holding a title and promoting her personal platform, “KINDness Wins! #KINDnessWinsHGC,” focusing on kindness both online and in real life. Her work includes acting in music videos, such as “Cassandra Kubinski: Burn It Down” (2022), “Hannah Grace Colin: Control” (2021), and “Hannah Grace Colin: Goodbye” (2022), and appearing in the TV series “Mad House” (2023-2024), where she was featured in 15 episodes.
