About

Ho Kun Xian, recognized globally in the competitive gaming world simply as Xian, has reshaped the tactical approach to professional fighting games. Emerging as a prominent competitor from Singapore, he redefined the meta for character selection by championing Gen. While critics often compared the character to Dan Hibiki and dismissed him as weak, Xian utilized Gen’s complex stances to unlock unexpected strategic options and prove the character’s viability on the international stage.

His competitive career boasts several milestone achievements that cemented his status among the elite. Formerly part of Team Razer, Xian delivered a stellar performance to win Ultra Street Fighter IV at DreamHack Winter 2015. Earlier that competitive cycle, he secured a major victory by defeating Yusuke Momochi at Final Round 18, followed by a strong third-place finish at Capcom Cup 2015 after a hard-fought elimination against Daigo Umehara.

Through his dedication and analytical mastery of underrepresented characters, Xian continues to influence the global fighting game community, maintaining an enduring legacy in competitive esports.
