Jordi, also known as iAmJordi, was born on May 28, 2003, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She displayed an early aptitude for performance, beginning to showcase her talent on stage at age five and starting to sing at age nine. Initially a hobby, singing became a more serious pursuit by age eleven. Her early life transitioned into a significant online presence, laying the groundwork for her career in music and digital content creation.

Her digital career began with joining YouTube in February 2017 and TikTok in its early stages in 2018. She gained considerable recognition in 2020 through her “Song Lyric Text Pranks” web series on YouTube, where she texted song lyrics to individuals and recorded their reactions. The initial video garnered over 3.5 million views, leading her to produce more content in this series. Notable videos include “LYRIC TEXT PRANK ON MY CRUSH (HE ASKED ME OUT??!) TATE MCRAE ~ WHAT WOULD YOU DO” with over 1.9 million views and “SONG LYRIC TEXT PRANK ON MY TIKTOK CRUSH!!! (I REGRET THIS) DRIVERS LICENSE BY OLIVIA RODRIGO” with over 1.7 million views. By 2020, she started regularly posting on TikTok, accumulating over 10 million followers.

IamJordi’s music career commenced in 2022 after her online covers attracted the attention of Sound Factory Records. She signed with the Los Angeles-based record label and subsequently relocated. Her debut single, “Hate You,” was released on November 18, 2022, accumulating over 11 million streams on Spotify. In 2023, she released further singles: “Just a Friend” on August 25, “My Problem” on October 27, and “Enough for Me” on December 1. A piano version of “Hate You” was also released on February 14, 2023. As of late 2023, her singles collectively exceeded 18 million streams and she maintained 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
