His journey to NFL stardom began at the University of Texas, where he showcased his exceptional talent as a member of the Longhorns football team. Charles contributed significantly to the team’s success, winning the 2006 Rose Bowl and leaving a lasting impact on the college football landscape.

Selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft, Charles initially served as a backup before seizing the spotlight with his remarkable speed and agility.
