Jamaal Charles, who holds the NFL record for the highest yards per carry among players with at least 1,000 rushing attempts (5.4 yards), built a distinguished career that included four Pro Bowl selections and two First-Team All-Pro honors. A formidable athlete from a young age, Charles excelled in both football and track. In high school, he rushed for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns in both his junior and senior years, earning first-team all-state recognition from the Texas Sports Writers Association and Associated Press. On the track, he secured a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 2003 World Youth Championships in Athletics.
