Jane Lynch is an Emmy Award-winning American actress, comedian, and television presenter known for her versatile performances across film, television, and stage. After gaining widespread recognition for her role as Christy Cummings in Christopher Guest’s mockumentary Best in Show (2000), Jane Lynch established a versatile career across film, television, and stage. Lynch honed her comedic and improvisational skills performing with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company and as one of only two women selected for The Second City comedy troupe in Chicago. Her early professional work also included playing Carol Brady in The Real Live Brady Bunch at Annoyance Theater.
Lynch continued her television career with a notable recurring role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (20172023). Since 2020, Lynch has served as both host and executive producer for NBC’s American version of The Weakest Link. In 2022, she returned to Broadway in the revival of Funny Girl, portraying Mrs.
Brice, and was named the honorary ‘mayor of Funner’ for Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Her recent work includes a recurring role in Hulus Only Murders in the Building (20212024) and voicing Bobbi St. Simone in The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart (2023).
