Jannat Zubair Rahmani was born on August 29, 2001, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She began her acting career at a young age, making her debut in 2008 with the show ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’. She gained significant recognition for her role as young Kashi in ‘Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora’ in 2010, and as Phulwa in the Colors TV series ‘Phulwa’ in 2011, which established her as a prominent child artist. Her early career also included cameo appearances in Bollywood films such as ‘Aagaah: The Warning’ and ‘Luv Ka The End’ in 2011.
Rahmani continued her career progression in television, notably portraying Young Phool Kanwar in ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra–Maharana Pratap’ in 2014. In 2017, she took on a lead role as Pankti Sharma Dhanrajgir in the Colors TV romantic series ‘Tu Aashiqui’, further solidifying her position in the industry. Her acting portfolio expanded to include a role in the 2018 Bollywood film ‘Hichki’. In 2019, she explored a new avenue by releasing her song ‘Ishq Farzi’. She successfully balanced her acting commitments with her academic pursuits, achieving 81% in her Class XII HSC boards in 2019 while pursuing a
degree from a private college in Kandivali, Mumbai.
In recent years, Rahmani has also emerged as a significant digital personality. She was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022 for the “Media, Marketing and Advertising” category, highlighting her influence beyond traditional acting roles. In the same year, she participated in the stunt-based reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12’, placing 4th. She made her Punjabi film debut in 2022 with ‘Kulche Chole’. In 2025, Rahmani joined ‘The Traitors India’ as a contestant, where she placed 8th. Alongside her entertainment career, she has ventured into entrepreneurship, launching her own clothing brand, Nayaab by Jannat, which focuses on modest fashion, and Jzee for stylish jewelry. She has also secured her own home in Mumbai at a young age.
