Javicia Leslie first garnered significant attention for her series regular role as Ali Finer in CBSs ‘God Friended Me,’ appearing in 42 episodes from 2018 to 2020. Her career progression included an early lead role in the television film ‘Killer Coach’ and guest appearances in popular series such as ‘MacGyver’ and ‘Chef Julian.’ In 2017, Leslie filmed her role as Paris Duncan in ‘The Family Business,’ a series based on Carl Weber’s novel, where she continues to appear. She further established her leading lady status with the 2019 film ‘Always a Bridesmaid,’ portraying the lead character Corina James. In 2020, Leslie made television history with her casting as Ryan Wilder/Batwoman in The CW’s ‘Batwoman,’ becoming the first bisexual Black actress to portray the iconic DC character.
