Javon Anthony Walton, known as “Wanna,” was born on July 22, 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia. His early life was heavily influenced by boxing, coached by his father, DJ Walton. He quickly became a standout athlete, achieving five-time Georgia State Champion and four-time USA Boxing South East Regional Champion titles in boxing, alongside impressive accomplishments in gymnastics. His athletic abilities and distinct personality led to his discovery on social media by Steve Harvey in 2017, where he appeared on the talk show, STEVE. This early exposure paved the way for his entry into the entertainment industry, alongside his continued dedication to sports.
Walton’s acting career began in 2019 with his debut as Ashtray in HBO’s series “Euphoria,” a role he continued into its second season. Following this, he took on significant roles, including Grant in Amazon’s adaptation of “Utopia” (2020), and voicing Pugsley Addams in MGM’s animated film “The Addams Family 2” (2021). He further expanded his filmography by starring as Sam Cleary opposite Sylvester Stallone in the superhero thriller “Samaritan” (2022) and joining Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy” as Stan in 2022. In 2024, he appeared in the Hulu true crime mini-series “Under the Bridge” as Warren Glowatski. His commitment to boxing remained, and in 2023, he signed with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, making his professional boxing debut in March 2024, which ended in a majority decision draw.
His unique blend of acting talent and athletic prowess has positioned him for diverse opportunities. In 2022, he became the youngest individual signed to Brand Jordan. Prior to this, at age eight, Under Armour identified him as one of seven “NEXT” athletes.
