Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey achieved mainstream recognition with her role as the jealous sister, Jeanie Bueller, in John Hughes’ hit comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986). The following year, she solidified her status by starring as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in the romantic drama Dirty Dancing (1987) alongside Patrick Swayze. This iconic performance earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in 1988 and contributed to the film becoming a cultural phenomenon, selling over one million copies on video. Grey began her career with a commercial for Dr Pepper in 1979, making her film debut in Reckless (1984).

She continued her prolific work in recent years, starring as Gwen Shamblin in the film Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation (2023) and appearing in the critically acclaimed feature A Real Pain (2024). Looking ahead, Grey is set to star in Wish You Were Here (2025) and is expected to reprise her iconic role in an upcoming sequel to Dirty Dancing.
