Jennifer Tierney

Jennifer Tierney established her formidable presence in London’s West End, first as part of the ensemble in Joe Mantello’s acclaimed production of Wicked in 2009. She further solidified her reputation within the same production in 2011, taking on the pivotal roles of Madame Morrible and serving as a standby for the iconic character of Elphaba. Tierney’s foundational training in full-time Musical Theatre at Performers College, London, from 1996 to 1999, equipped her with a versatile Mezzo-Soprano range, proficiency in Pop singing, and Tap dancing, enabling a distinguished career across numerous musical theatre productions, new writing projects, and album recordings. Early in her professional journey, she also performed as Carpenter in ChromiumBlue.com in 2002.

Tierney’s career progression continued with highly demanding roles, notably as a standby in Christopher Ashley’s West End production of Come From Away for both the 2018 and 2019 seasons. In this critically acclaimed production, she made history as the first performer to expertly cover all six principal female tracks, showcasing exceptional versatility and a profound command of diverse characterizations. Her extensive and prestigious theatre credits also include memorable performances in Lord of the Rings: The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Godspell at the Chichester Festival Theatre, and Carousel at the Royal Festival Hall, further cementing her status as a leading stage talent. Expanding her reach beyond the West End, Tierney captivated international audiences with her powerful performance in Chess at the Oslo Spektrum.

Demonstrating her breadth of talent, she appeared on television in Fame School – Series 1 & 2 and has released her own music, reflecting her continuous artistic exploration and sustained presence in the entertainment industry.
