Jennifer Tierney

Jennifer Tierney is a British actress and singer from Greater London, UK. She trained in full-time Musical Theatre at Performers College, London, from 1996 to 1999, laying the foundation for her extensive career in theatre. Throughout her career, Tierney has showcased her talents as a Mezzo-Soprano, proficient in Pop singing and Tap dancing, and has been involved in numerous musical theatre productions, new writing projects, and album recordings.

Tierney’s theatre career includes significant roles and covers in West End productions. She was part of the ensemble in Joe Mantello’s “Wicked” in 2009 and later took on the roles of Madame Morrible and standby for Elphaba in the same production in 2011. A notable achievement includes her role as a standby in Christopher Ashley’s “Come From Away” in both 2018 and 2019, where she covered all six female tracks, marking her as the first performer to undertake such a comprehensive standby role. Her career also features performances in “Lord of the Rings: The Musical” at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, “Godspell” at the Chichester Festival Theatre, and “Carousel” at the Royal Festival Hall.

Beyond the West End, Tierney’s work extends to international stages, including “Chess” at the Oslo Spektrum and tours with “Saturday Night Fever” and “Mamma Mia!”. She also participated in the UK and Ireland Tour of “Shrek: The Musical”, covering the role of Dragon and performing as Mama Bear. In addition to her stage work, she has led concerts across Europe, appeared in several corporate events, and featured on television in “Fame School – Series 1 & 2”. She also contributed to the workshop for “Lift – A New Musical” (Trafalgar Studios/Soho Theatre & Concept Album) and released her own music.
