Jessica Carmona

Jessica Carmona was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Rochester, NY, where she attended the Rochester School of the Arts. She furthered her education at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Acting. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Jessica’s bilingual abilities and respect for her Latino heritage have influenced her career path. While an undergraduate at the Strasberg studio, she curated “SABOR Latino,” a showcase of Latino playwrights and scenes, demonstrating an early commitment to celebrating her cultural background within her artistic work.

Her career includes significant roles in both film and television. Jessica was the lead actress in the feature film “Millie and the Lords” (2015), a role that garnered critical acclaim and multiple awards, including Best Feature Film at the Viva Latino Film Festival and the Excellence in Film Award from the Rincon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico. The film also received acceptance into the Queens World Film Festival and the Socially Relevant Film Festival. More recently, she has appeared in television series such as “FBI: Most Wanted” (2024), where she played Tori for one episode, and “New Amsterdam” (2021), appearing as a Scared Woman in an episode. She has also acted in the short film “Separation” (2021) as Anita and “Havana in Bushwick” (2012) as a Guest At Party.

Beyond her acting career, Jessica has expanded her contributions to the industry as a producer and writer. She served as an executive producer for the TV movie “Borders” (2021), for which she also holds a writing credit. Additionally, she was a producer for “Millie and the Lords” (2015), further highlighting her involvement in projects from multiple creative standpoints. Her journey underscores a dedication to storytelling across various mediums, marked by a commitment to authenticity and hard work, consistently recognizing the importance of diverse representation in her projects.
