Jessica Williams

Jessica Renee Williams was born on July 31, 1989, in Los Angeles County, California. She developed an early interest in drama, attending Nathaniel Narbonne High School where she focused on theatrical studies. Her initial television appearance was as a series regular on the Nickelodeon series *Just for Kicks* in 2006, marking the beginning of her career in entertainment. Williams furthered her education at California State University, Long Beach.

Williams rose to prominence in 2012 when she became the youngest correspondent ever on *The Daily Show* at the age of twenty-two. During her tenure, which lasted until 2016, she gained recognition for her sharp comedic commentary on race, politics, and various cultural topics. Following her success on *The Daily Show*, she co-hosted the podcast *2 Dope Queens* with Phoebe Robinson, which later spun off into an HBO special in 2018. Jessica Williams has also made significant contributions to film and television, starring as Jessica James in the 2017 Netflix comedy *The Incredible Jessica James*, where she also served as an executive producer.

Her career continued to expand with notable roles, including Lally Hicks in the *Fantastic Beasts* film series, appearing in *Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald* (2018) and *Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore* (2022).
