A rising star in the equestrian world, influencer Jill Treece of EquiTheory is fostering the relationship between humans and horses via education and compassionate training. Treece works as a trainer for rescues, ex-racehorses, and other animals, and resides on a horse farm. She has a strong love for knowledge, especially when it comes to improving her relationship with horses and their wellbeing. She is prepared to go into the fields of psychology, science, learning/training, behaviour, and more as it applies to horses.
Although Treece has trained in both English and Western riding, her specialty for most of her career was eventing, where she advanced several young and inexperienced horses. She has been an avid horse student for well over ten years and has competed in equestrian sports. Treece wants to encourage riders to try something fresh and unique, and motivates people to take control of their horseback riding experience rather than relying on so-called ‘conventional wisdom’. She encourages people to examine the motivations behind training and find out how their particular horse learns the best, and all in a way that is ethically-based.
Treece is the host of the EquiTheory podcast, which has racked up over 100 episodes. In 2022, she released episodes featuring fellow equestrian influencer Adele Shaw. Treece keeps up with her fans on Instagram @jill.treece, where she boasts more than 15,000 followers. She makes personalized videos via the social media platform Cameo.
