The wonderful equestrian Charlotte “Lottie” Fry is a dressage rider, who is currently based in the Netherlands with Van Olst Horses. She is a 2x World Champion, a 2x Young Horse World Champion, an U25 European Dressage Champion, and an Olympic medalist.
Born and raised in England, Fry started riding at a young age, and by the time she was 14 was training with Olympic Champion Carl Hestor. A few years later she relocated to the Netherlands to train and ride for Anne van Olst. Her first career win was in 2018 when she became World Champion during the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in individual dressage. The same year she also won Gold at the 2018 U25 European Dressage Championships.
Fry was selected to be part of the horse riding team for Great Britain at the delayed 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and went on to win Bronze in team dressage. A month later she won Gold at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses for individual dressage. Later that same year she won Silver at the European Championships for team dressage. In 2022 she had huge success at the World Championships taking Gold in both the Individual Grand Prix Special and the Individual Grand Prix Freestyle, and also took Silver in team dressage.
