Jim O’Heir

Jim O’Heir is an American actor and comedian, widely recognized for his extensive work in television and film, notably as Jerry Gergich in ‘Parks and Recreation’. After joining the cast of the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation in 2009 as the beloved Jerry Gergich, Jim O’Heir became a fan favorite, developing the character into a key comedic anchor throughout the show’s run. O’Heir’s career began in the late 1980s, where he honed his craft in Chicago’s vibrant improvisational comedy scene at Second City and as a founding member of the sketch comedy troupe ‘White Noise.’ With ‘White Noise,’ he notably appeared in stage productions such as The Book of Blanche (1988), Stumpy’s Gang (1990), and Ad-Nauseam. His theatrical work also included a performance as Norman Bulansky in Tom Griffin’s The Boys Next Door in 1989 and later as Dale Harding in the 2005 stage adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
