Johnny Yong Bosch

Johnny Yong Bosch is an American actor and musician, recognized for his significant contributions to live-action television and a prolific voice acting career in anime and video games. After securing the role of Adam Park, the second Black Power Ranger, in the second season of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ in 1994, Johnny Yong Bosch embarked on a dynamic career spanning live-action television, film, and prolific voice acting. He continued his iconic portrayal of Adam Park in ‘Power Rangers Zeo’ (1996), where he became the Green Zeo Ranger, and in ‘Power Rangers Turbo’ (1997) as the Green Turbo Ranger. His live-action film credits from this period include ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie’ (1995), where he notably performed his own stunts after a stuntman injury, and ‘Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie’ (1997).

He has lent his voice to ongoing animated series including Giyu Tomioka in ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba’ (2019-2024), Yukio Okumura in ‘Blue Exorcist’ (2012-present), and Artemis in ‘Sailor Moon.’ Beyond acting, Bosch has also pursued musical endeavors, forming and fronting the bands Eyeshine and Where Giants Fall as vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist. In 2020, Bosch made his directorial debut with the film ‘Ark Exitus.’ In recent years, Bosch has continued to demonstrate his enduring impact across his diverse portfolio. He reprised his beloved role as Adam Park for the 30th-anniversary Netflix special ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’ in 2023. The same year, he returned as Vash the Stampede for ‘Trigun Stampede.’ His impactful voice performances have earned him critical acclaim, including a nomination for the 5th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021 and another nomination for the 8th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2024, highlighting his sustained relevance and talent in the industry.
