Joni Mäki

Joni Mäki, born on January 24, 1995, in Vaasa, Finland, is a cross-country skier representing Pohti Skiteam Pyhajarvi. Mäki made his World Cup debut in 2014 and has established himself as a prominent athlete in the sport. His early career saw him achieve a significant milestone when he secured a bronze medal in the sprint event at the 2014 U20 World Championships held in Val di Fiemme. This early success marked the beginning of his progression in national and international competitions.

Throughout his career, Mäki has consistently competed at elite levels, demonstrating his capabilities in both individual and team events. He earned a silver medal in the team sprint at the 2021 World Championships in Oberstdorf, where he notably overtook a competitor in the final leg to secure second place for Finland.
