Tex-Mex goddess Jorgeous shot to global stardom on Season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The spicy, tiny dancing diva turned heads with her sultry realness and showgirl fashions, capturing the hearts of viewers and earning the full attention of RuPaul who told her throughout the show that she was “born to do drag”. Inspired by JLo and Selena, Jorgeous may only be 5ft 2 but she packs a powerful punch thanks to her stunning performances and immaculate visuals that always leave audiences gagging for more.
The San Antonio-born Mexican-American diva is a self-taught dancer who was just 16 when she began performing in gay bars. Choosing her drag name as a combination of her boy name Jorge and the word “gorgeous”, she previously performed as Jorgeous Waters and Jorgeous York.
Jorgeous had the full attention of both the judges and viewers at home as soon as she hit the Main Stage runway on Season 14 of Drag Race. The youngest competitor in the season, she earned herself the unofficial title of lip sync assassin of Season 14 after lip-synching five times and winning on four occasions. Jorgeous may have sashayed away after her elimination in episode 13, but her career has been on an unstoppable rise ever since and she is loving every minute of her new status as an official RuGirl, touring the world and living her dream.
