JT Daniels

JT Daniels is a former college football quarterback renowned for his talent and versatility on the field. Born in Irvine, California, in February 2000, Daniels quickly emerged as a standout athlete during his time at Mater Dei High School. As a freshman, he seized the starting quarterback role and displayed remarkable skill, earning full play-calling responsibilities—an accomplishment rare for someone of his age. However, it was his junior year that truly solidified his status as a football prodigy. Daniels dominated the field, clinching prestigious awards such as the Gatorade Football Player of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Glenn Davis Award, and MaxPreps Football Player of the Year. His exceptional performance helped lead Mater Dei to an undefeated season, culminating in a national championship title.

As a highly sought-after recruit, Daniels committed to USC, where he became only the second freshman in the school’s history to secure the starting quarterback position. After two seasons with the Trojans, he transferred to the Georgia Bulldogs, making significant contributions to their success, including a pivotal role in winning the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship.

In January 2022, Daniels entered the transfer portal once more, ultimately joining the West Virginia Mountaineers before finally settling with the Rice Owls for his senior season. Despite the transitions, Daniels’ talent and leadership remained evident, leaving an indelible mark on each team he represented. With an impressive college career under his belt, Daniels now sets his sights on the NFL, poised to continue his football journey at the professional level.
