After a distinguished collegiate career that began with earning recognition on the Louisville Slugger High School All-American Team and Rawlings All-Region First Team in 2013, Kacy Clemens was named District 19-5A MVP the same year. Initially drafted by the Houston Astros in the 35th round in 2013, Clemens excelled as a first baseman for the University of Texas at Austin. During his senior year in 2017, he led the Longhorns in hits, home runs, and RBIs, becoming the first Texas player since 2010 to record double-digit steals and home runs in the same season.

His commitment to community service, highlighted by involvement with the Roger Clemens ‘Make a Pitch For Kids’ Foundation during his college years, further underscores his dedication.
