Frank Diaz, a drag performer from Cayey, Puerto Rico, goes by the stage name Kandy Ho. She competed in Season 7 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and came in 10th place. RuPaul and Michelle Visage were among the returning judges, with Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley joining them as newcomers. She later competed in the second season of Karla Constant’s “The Switch Drag Race: El Arte del Transformismo,” the Chilean version of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” She finished eighth in the competition.
Kandy Ho was one of 14 candidates vying for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar,” as well as a $100,000 cash prize and a year’s supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup. Kandy Ho competed for the title of “La Mejor Transformista de Habla Hispana” (roughly “The Best Spanish-Speaking Transformista”) in The Switch. Kandy participated alongside Gia Gunn on the Chilean edition of Drag Race from Season 6, making them the only two participants to ever appear and compete on two different Drag Race series (excluding Drag Race: All-Stars).
Kandy is a member of The Doll House, a Puerto Rican drag establishment. April Carrión is also a member of this family, and she wore a Kandy Ho T-shirt during Season 6 filming. Queen Bee Ho is Kandy’s drag sister. Kandy has a sizable social media following; her Twitter account has over 55 thousand followers, and if you’re interested in seeing her latest drag, check out her ferocious Instagram account, which has over 130 thousand followers.
