American writer and presenter Karley Sciortino is best known for Slutever, which is the title of her blog, book, and Viceland documentary series. She is also the author of Vogue’s Breathless column. All of her works focuses on sex and relationships and has won her a huge audience, including more than 200,000 Instagram followers. She has been featured by major publications as diverse as The Guardian and Playboy.
Born in New York, Sciortino spent time squatting in London during the 2000s, and it was here that she began Slutever, initially as a blog recording her life and the sexual adventures of her and her roommates. She continued the blog after moving back to NYC in 2010, and within a few years, it had become so popular that it had spawned her first book: Slutever: Dispatches from an Autonomous Woman in a Post Shame World. In January 2018, she launched her documentary series, also called Slutever, which ran for two seasons and looked at everything from AI sex robots to transgender issues to ecosexuals to dominatrices. The following year, she also co-wrote the first season of the Starz sitcom, Now Apocalypse.
Today, Sciortino continues to contribute witty, insightful, and fearless articles to Vogue as well as pieces for Purple and a newsletter to her many subscribers.
